Hey there! I'm an Army brat but I've lived in Savannah the longest and I LOVE IT HERE. And I can say that we've had a cold snap this week and it's nowhere near the -40 degrees my sister has been telling me about - she lives in Madison, WI. A few things to consider when moving to Savannah - how well do you handle traffic (Wilmington Island has one way in - one way out so there can be some traffic delays), how long are you planning to stay (if longer than four years, you'll need to consider school systems for your two year old) and whether to rent or buy. I always use the four year rule - less than four years, rent. More than four years - buy. Now is a great time to buy in this area - plenty of selections, low prices and a phenomenal interest rate. Areas west of I-95 still have 100% financing. I can send you a list of "free entertainment" as well - something my family and I have gotten really good at this past year

.
Good luck to you!
