Thumbs up thinking about moving

Hi I was thinking about moving to the area. I am from WI so it will be a bit of a change but I have lived many places so moving and new places are not an issue. Just trying to find out a bit of the good and bad. Looking at savannah itself far as areas. I have a 2 year old, a dog and a husband who travels. We are easy going people who like to be outside. any ideas or input would be great.

You'll love the weather.
Just walked my dog in a pair of shorts, and flip-flops.
I'm partial to The Islands.
Wilmington and Whitemarsh.
Lots of houses for rent, and sale, on both due to the soft economy.
A young family, with a dog, and that likes to be outside?
I'd say take a real close look at Whitemarsh first.
Wilmington second.

The big problem with the Savannah is that your husband travels. If he flies, Savannah will mean at least one connecting flight to just about everywhere. If he drives, he's going to have a long drive before he gets anywhere. Savannah is not centrally located. You can't go East.

But I think it's a great place to live. But you have to plan on HEAT and dreadful humidity in the summer. And the Fall, And Spring. It's not always pleasant for those that love to be outside. It goes on for months.

I moved down heah from Missouri.
Everybuddy warned me about that, and yet the Summer weather is comparable to where I left outta. Hot and humid. It just lasts a lot longer.
And the Winter weather?
Hahaha...
What Winter?

Just shorts, flip-flops, and a light jacket.
And it was only a ten minute walk.
Not sayin' it wasn't chilly, but not painful either.
I live in shorts.
And for the past few days the guys that live across the Blvd.<J.M.B.> have been sitting out on their porch(?), drinking their beer, in Tee shirts and shorts too.
I only wear long pants when it gets really <Hahaha...> cold.
Or to go to the store. I don't wanna be mistaken for a chicken.
