Default Cajun/Creole food/ingredients in Savannah?

This is one cuisine that is not well represented in this area. Anyone know of a decent store/meat market/etc that may have these ingredients?

Looked there. Very little if anything.

If there's some ingredients that may be more readily available in grocers down that way, I could place a product request with Krogers.

Anytime I make anything remotely Cajun, I do it from scratch and improvise on the sausage.

I was wondering about that too.

My nearby Piggly Wiggly store has many Cajun/creole sounding herbs, sauces, etc. on the shelves. I don't know if they are the authenic ones. I confess that I am somewhat ignorant in that particular cuisine area. If a dish has crab, shrimp, oysters, or okra in it, it's as close to Cajun as I'll ever get.

Just spent about an hour with a real Cajun.
He said that the only place to find real Cajun/Creole ingredients was in his garage.
He trips down to N.O. about four times a year to visit his family.
And always brings back two coolers full of "The Real Stuff".
His fridges are full.
Crawdads you can buy local.
Some of the herbs you can buy local.
You can get Andouie local.
The flavors can't be bought anywhere but in La.
I'm working on him to find a store/website in La. where we can get the true flavors of Cajun/Creole delivered to our door.

Stay tuned...

I was looking for GOOD andouille, boudin, authentic seasonings, etc.

Never thought to check out the Pig....or maybe a local meat market.
