Default Does anyone currently live on Wilmington Island?

I did a search but too many miscellaneous topics came up. What I'm asking is if anyone lives on Wilmington Island. I want to make a few friends and stuff, as I haven't often gotten out as I want to and don't really have anyone I can count on as a mutual friend or the sort. My apologies if this violates the rules or another topic exists (which again I don't think either are the case).

If you read through a few threads here you'll find Just Plain Al -- or Al will find you and scold you for not finding him first. He's City Data's unofficial ambassador of Wilmington Island.

There are about 15,000 people that live on Wilmington Island. However, it's anyone's guess as to how many post on the city-data forums.

Are you interested in a certain age group?

There is a very active, (family and young peoples) YMCA on Whitemarsh Island. Perhaps you could get to make some friends there.

Also, there are a lot of Churches in the neighborhoods. Many social groups and friendships are formed within the congregations. Even if you don't have a denominational preference, perhaps you could go to the nearest to your home in order to meet a few people.

If you are interested in baseball, the Charles Brooks field will be having a lot of games for the youngsters and older people soon. Lots of parents, grandparents and others are always in attendence.

Well I'd go door-to-door, except that's for making sales.

Not entirely, but 18~35 or so

Hmmm, ironic as I've always been told YMCA was for kids and teens.

Not quite interested in baseball, though that tidbit of information would certainly help.

Really, give the YMCA a try. They have an excellent gym/workout/exercise area.

If you go out for a beer, that would be The Brit.
Figure 21-40.
That's why I call The Islander my home.
