Worst drivers in the country
At least this is my opinion and not based on statistics.
I never experienced road rage until I moved to Savannah. Every day on my way home from work I'm amazed at the reckless abandon you people have for other motorist on the road. If you want in front of me, use your turn signal and I'll be more than happy to slow down and let you into the lane. You don't have to cut me off without any warning.
You would think that the cops would be issuing tickets left and right in this moldy sponge of a town. Like a month ago when that giant F350 decided to cut through three lanes of traffic on Abercorn by the Savannah mall stop light going on to 204. Only when he got into the turning lane did you flip his blinker on. Slamming on my brakes didn't **** me off nearly as much as noticing there was a cop right behind me to witness it and he did nothing.

Nice rant!
But I've seen worse drivers.
Much worse.
Ps: Turn signals are an extra cost option when you buy a vehicle down heah.

So we can effectively blame the lack of turn signals on the economy?:P

He's kidding obviously.. They are required...
I am a pedestrian or take Chatham Area Transit and I can't count the number of times people have parked on the pedestrian crossing, so I had to almoat walk in the traffic to get to the other side or wait for the next time it turned to walk.
Just the other day I was almost hit by a big semi - perhaps just a foot away as it turned when it wasn't supposed to.
I agree, there are tons of awful drivers around here.

If people would use the left lane as a passing lane instead of poking around then there would be less weaving in and out of lanes IMO. Thats always been a peeve of mine. Use the right lane slow pokes!

Drivers are bad here, Green means go, yellow means go faster and red means Hell! Don't stop now!
But the cops are worse:
I was actually stopped and given a warning for obstrucrting traffic when I stopped at a crosswalk to let a tour group of elderly tourist cross the steet at a crosswalk. He told to stop for 1 but make them wait if there are a lot. IDIOT!
A coworked was pulled over on the Island Expressway. He was doing 60. (10 over) figured he was getting a ticket. He did but not for speeding He got a ticket for going to slow and impeding the flow of traffic. Ticket even stated going 60 in a 50. Judge threw it out.

Wow. Ridiculous. I'm guessing your co-worker was driving 60 in the left lane. People do tend to fly down Islands Expressway. Typically 60-70mph. I've seen a few going 80. Then there are those who are the opposite. The people who want to go 40-50mph.
This is why we have so many accidents here. We have people who are in a hurry mixed in with those who want to poke around. It all equals road rage & accidents.
