Savannah2009 is on a distinguished road
200K won't get you a very nice house in Savannah. Look at Pooler, young families in the lower price range homes, decent schools. Richmond Hill is smaller, not growing as fast. I like what I've heard about Pooler, though since it's basically the burbs, I rarely have reason to go there.

Yes, you pay state tax in GA. You pay for auto tax once and new tags annually.
