I've searched the forums here and have found a little information from forum posters about it, but not a lot. I'll be relocating to the Jesup area from MN later this year for my husband's next job. I'm nervous about adapting to a new place and a probably slower pace of life, and also about being becoming a Midwesterner living in the South for the first time. Does anyone have any tips or advice or general info you could share with me?

Just refrain from telling anyone how much better things were done back in the midwest. Smile and act like you are just crazy about being there. That's what it takes to get along almost any where

Good luck with everything. You are going to enjoy the winters.

Good advice.

Jesup seems like a lovely town. I have met a few of its' residents on St Simons Island and they generally seem to express contentment with where they live. Really cute downtown, too.
My mother, who was married in nearby Brunswick, spent her wedding night in Jesup. So to me, my brother and sisters, it will always be the place where our mother was deflowered LOL.

lol! wow decatur! Jesup is a great town...its definitely slow though. The saving grace is that its only 30-45 mins from Brunswick so you won't die. As far as the town, its great and depends what you are into.
