I'm semi-new, looking for good groups/activities to join!
Hey guys!
So i moved to Savannah a little over a year ago, and yes you would think I would have a vast group of friends by now..but unfortunately this is not the case!
I was living in Atlanta for over 6 years where I graduated from Georgia Tech, and decided I needed a fresh start and to get away from a lot of the people that were surrounding me. I absolutely love being outdoors, the beach, trying new sports/activities, but haven't been able to do much of this at all since my circle of friends consists of almost zero here.
Anyways, if there are young professionals out there or students even, I would love suggestions if you know of any group gatherings or a good way to meet intellectual and interesting/fun people!
After speaking to my brothers, they finally mentioned to me that the best way might be finding forums, since it is hard to meet people if you don't already know some.
Thanks all, I really would appreciate your help!

This is not exactly a group, but they do host a number of intellectual activities and events you might enjoy. The Sentient Bean: Home
At the very least, it's a great hangout where you might meet interesting people.
And it's right across the street from the Forsyth Park tennis courts. Not that they're connected in any way.

Try Facebook. There are a lot of Savannah groups there. You may be able to network. I use it mostly to find out about events etc.

Check out the Young Professionals of Savannah, the website is ypsav.net & they have a Facebook group too. It's like $40 a year to join but you get lots of good free stuff that comes along with it too. Good luck!
