Default Wilmington Island, Gay Friendly

My partner and I are moving to Savannah from San Diego in early March 2010 so that I may attend SCAD. We have three dogs and want to rent a house on Wilmington Island or Whitemarsh Island. Will two late thirty something women be welcome in those communities? We do not flaunt our relationship but we dont hide it either.

We visited a two years ago and love those particular areas so I am hoping to get some insight from the locals.

Thanks

Before I moved downtown, I spent most of my life on Wilmington Island (about 16 years). I'll say this, as long as you don't flaunt it too much, most people don't care. That could be said for most of Savannah, really.

Its great to have some diversity around IMO!

PS: Savannah has a decent sized gay community for it's size.

Thanks so much for the feedback. We thought we would be ok in that area but wanted to double check.

Hey it would be great to have more diversity in town! Savannah is a party place so people are pretty cool about diversity. If you two move I would be happy to have a dinner where you could meet a few ppl in the area because I know how difficult it is to meet ppl here. mini_troubie@hotmail.com
