Safe, affordable outside Savannah,,
Looking for names of nice towns that are safe, (lower crime rate) and affordable within 20 miles radius of Savannah. My son is hoping to attend SCAD and I would like to relocate to GA from NC. Thanks for the advice!

Why not Savannah, there are many of little pockets around Savannah to live. Tybee would be a great place for you.

I grew up over in Effingham county, in a little town called Eden. Rural without being too redneck-ish.
All along 80 is pretty cool.....Garden City (no property tax), Pooler, Bloomingdale, Faulkville
Or flip over to 21 and check out Rincon or Springfeild.
Isn't Tybee a little high-priced, Bell?

If she can afford SCAD then Tybee shouldn't be out of the question. Also the Coffee Bluff area would be a great place. There really are not a lot of affordable completely safe areas around Savannah.

Savannah is NOT safe, but areas like Richmond Hill, Pooler, and even into Liberty County are great values and not too far to comute. Call a good real estate broker in the area and ask. Web forums are poor choices for real estate advice Moderator cut: not allowed

we are moving our of this rental house in dec. its in pooler ga 4 br 2 1/2 bath for 1295.00 the lights run about 110 phone internet cable 125 water 40 its in the farm and I love the schools
