Smile Savannah / Richmond Hill

I absolutely love Georgia It's the most beautiful state in the South other than Va & the Carolinas ... I was born in Savannah ... almost 20 years ago, we moved to Texas after that. So I don't remember much of Savannah. But I've heard it's gotten terrible with gangs.

My dad is going to be buying me a house. And I really want to move somewhere with lakes and fairly good weather.

It's not so much that I care about whether or not there are different races . I'm just worried about crime. I don't want to move somewhere there is lots of crime.

I'd like to move to Cumming or Richmond Hill but I'm not sure still. Richmond Hill looks beautiful but if it's only 10minutes from Savannah and the crime is terrible in Savannah it makes me nervous.

Thumbs up Research each area carefully

and visit the areas to assess acurately.

You generalize---

--Savannah--'I've heard its gotten terrible with gangs'...

--and Richmond Hill is only 10 minutes away

You could click on the 'Search' function at the top of this page and enter keywords 'Savannah' or 'Richmond Hill'---there are many threads with firsthand FYI on each area.

Then you say--

--'I'd like to live somewhere with lakes and fairly good weather'

--Cumming or Richmond Hill

If all you want is 'lakes and fairly good weather' then Cumming meets both criteria.

Located just north of Atlanta in a rapidly growing affluent area of Gwinnett/Forsyth/Hall counties---real estate is certain to be more expensive there than in Richmond Hill. Is cost a consideration or employment?

At the City-data Homepage you can select a location and retrieve a page of demographic information.

I don't think you should ever move somewhere blindly unless there is no way around it. You should try to visit both areas and see which fits you better. The last thing you want to do, is read a bunch of statistics and end up somewhere you are miserable!
