Actually, I think it looks feasible. I don't see where it is a problem to other drivers. It is like being on a bridge, but the bridge moves, so drivers just need to observe an additional set of signals, to not drive across the lanes when the bus is present.
That's interesting but I can see one problem already. You'll lose your sense of speed and have vertigo if the "walls" are traveling even if they had openings. I'm sure everyone has had this happen, you're sitting at an intersection and the car next to you backs up? It's out of the norm and you think you're moving forward. First reaction is to press harder on the brake....
China desperately needs better ideas like this one. Maybe there'll be fewer people buying cars and more people riding these busses.
It is not a China issue, it's a transportation issue. Every country has unique needs and problems, with unique solutions. China bashers need to recognize that automatically copying the American way of doing everything is not necessarily the best way for other countries to progress.
China is now in a process of constructing new infrastructure, and not just putting infuriating orange cones on old ones.

That was my thought as well. A stationary overpass is one thing, but a straddling bus sounds potentially hazardous. I can't believe the inventors of this concept didn't consider this.
And what happens when a big truck comes behind the bus and there's only two lanes on the road so it can't pass by? The truck is forced to stay behind the bus, thereby interrupting the flow of traffic in the lane?
Beyond that, it is a pretty neat concept.
