my question is who will be around to man, maintaine these reactors 500 years from now??

Societies come and go, rise and fall....but reactors and nuclear energy need constant baby sitting...

Are we sabotagding future generations with all this nuclear stuff??

I think they will be long shutdown after 500 years.......average design lifespan is about 30 years.

The spent fuel will be stored in molten glass in a geologically safe repository but politics has delayed the project.
