Gas mileage is almost double in the hybrid- but I have a few questions
First, does a hybrid take regular fuel? Does it need to be plugged in to charge the electrical system?
Is the car dummy proof or are there bells and whistles that need to be dealt with in order to enjoy the fuel economy?
Finally, would the difference in rental price be negated by the savings in fuel expenses?

The gasoline engine charges the batteries as you move along. It just takes regular grade gasoline too
. It drives like a regular car. There is nothing different about driving a hybrid, except its exceptionally quiet during stop-and-go driving and at idle. But heres the catch. You are not going to save that much fuel on the highway, because the electric engine of the Prius operates in stop and go traffic,or under 20 miles per hour. Just get a compact car like a Corolla if you really want to save fuel on the highway. It's a similar size inside as a Prius anyhow, but will be less than the midsize.
