Alan Turing helped win WWII by breaking the Nazi War Codes(Enigma) helping Britain and it's Allies stay a step ahead of Nazi Germany in many Battles and War Intelligence.

The "Turing Bombe" was the "analog" forerunner of Modern Computers.

He also developed the Turing Test to measure Artificial Intelligence.

He was later stripped of all security clearances and given female hormone injections that chemically castrated him because he was Gay.

He later committed suicide at the age of 41.

Let's hope the British Government sets the record "straight" on Turing and officially clears his record/pardons him(NO pun intended).
