It makes sense because when the person is reading something on paper, all they have is that piece of paper and whatever is printed on it so entire focus goes to what is printed. Reading a document on a computer is not the same as there is always some other distractions, the top menu bar/toolbar of the application used to view and edit the document, possibly any other visible menus, applications and desktop icons all steal focus without most people noticing it. Also the light from the monitor and the flickering that drains the eyes, also having to use a mouse, keyboard, etc. all factor in as well.

I agree. I can find errors on a screen but when it is time for a final edit I print it out first.

I have always wondered why I preferred hard-copy books rather than e-books, now I have some idea.
