Dr. Thomas T. Goldsmith (19102009) was Director of Research at New Jersey's DuMont, the world's first commercial television broadcaster.

He also co-invented the videogame around 1947.

This rare interview is quite long, some parts are out of synch* and some segments are missing.

And here, in the early 1950s Allen DuMont and Goldsmith are being grilled on the practicality of the newfangled color televisions about to hit the market:

"What's the story on color tv?"

*I'll bet he would have been livid...in this day and age..
