Are GMO foods the savior of mankind, or is it just technology out of control?

Latest news from the genetic engineers is they want to create "meat" in big vats, using bioengineering, not animals. Good news for the animals and bad news for us?

I never said there was anything unhealthy about artificial meat or GMO food. I simply asked if this is the direction we want to go.

Put it this way - would you eat the artificial meat?

I can put it another way - is Soylent Green in our future?

Thorn rushes to stop him, but arrives too late, and is mesmerized by the euthanasia process's visual and musical montage – a display of forests, wild animals, rivers, and ocean life, now extinct. Under the influence of a lethal drug, Roth tells Thorn his discovery and begs him to expose the truth. To this end, Thorn stows himself aboard a garbage truck to the disposal-center, where he sees human corpses converted into Soylent Green. Returning to make his report, he is ambushed by Fielding and others.

As I said when this was news over 2 years ago I'll eat synthetic hamburger and steaks...

Are there any other choices, or are anti-GMO freaks just out of control?
