Nope, I would never knowingly eat that kind of meat. I want my food Organic and the way nature intended. No one will ever persuade me to desire otherwise and I don't even entertain arguments to the contrary.

If GMOs were so good, why are so many companies like Monsanto so opposed to labeling laws that would require companies to label their foods as GMO? Why are they trying to sue states who want to have labeling laws for GMO food? (to let the consumers know what is GMO and what is not so they can make their own choice? What does Monsanto have to hide if GMOs are so fine? Just label food as such. Why are some pro GMO businesses having such a fit that some companies are joining the "NoN-GMO" labeling campaign? What exactly is there to hide? I guess they aren't nearly as good if Monsanto won't just put a little GMO label on the food, and they for sure don't believed in allowing consumers to be informed..Why do so many countries outright ban GMOs? There is good reason.

Maybe it has something to do with the FUD being spread on the internet by conspiratorial idiots...

I guess the labeling laws come from politicians who owe their positions to paranoid people who are stupid enough to believe the lies, slanted reporting and fear of technology reporting by the organic crowd... The banning of GM crops by certain countries uses the preceding logic as well as preying on the fears of an uneducated population...

You will find fascinating reading in this thread:

GMO News and Discussion Thread

It covers all the paranoia about GM crops and the accredited factual rebuttal of same.

Since you like to pose questions here's one for you:

Why have more people died eating certified organic foods than GM foods? (Hint: the answer lies in the other thread)

Latest news from the genetic engineers is they want to create "meat" in big vats, using bioengineering, not animals. Good news for the animals and bad news for us?

this meat is not genetically modified, so your concerns are null.

Interesting article for people who keep an open mind on the subject and don't put themselves before anyone else:

Quote:
Today it's relatively easy to make a healthy meal, so why in the hell would anyone pour Soylent down their throat?

But if you're asking that question and genuinely can't see an answer, then you're demonstrating both a profound over-projection of your own cultural norms and also a stunning lack of empathy.

Food is for some people a genuine struggle. Just because many in the first world have the ability to go to a grocery store and stock up on healthy stuff doesn't mean it's easy, or even possible, for everyone. Blithely dismissing someone's inability to whip up a healthy meal by tossing off a condescending "Soylent? Gross! You don't need that! Just go cook something quick and healthy!" can be about as wrongheaded and insensitive as telling an alcoholic that they could fix all their problems by just drinking less or telling a clinically depressed person that they'd feel better if they'd just stop moping and cheer up.
