And the Al Gore crowd think Earths climate is a cut-and-dried issue, only Mankind causes it...

Quote:
This paper will kick off a wave of research among climate modelers, says Ryan Abernathey, who studies the impact of ocean circulation on climate at Columbia University. ”The volume estimate is really surprising,” he said. “This is an important effect. The next question is how leaky the eddy is.” The eddy is made of water, after all, and the difference between inside and outside is not precise. If, say, the dissolved carbon caught in an eddy slowly slips out, then after a year of meandering an eddy may have left its original contents an ocean away. But if the eddies hold their cargo tightly, they might be shipping enormous packages of carbon, salt, and pollutants from Australia to Africa and from Europe to America. Scientists are now trying to figure out how the packages effect local ecosystems and the planet’s climate.

I don't think scientists want to fix the climate. They just want people to stop making it worst. That really is not much to ask. And would seem to make sense to even the dimmest of bulbs. Don't crap where you live. Even animals know that much.

But this is not true for people. God gave us the mandate to exploit and rape this planet all we want. After all, the rapture is about to happen anytime now.

Was a rock. Worst than a rock? Preserving the compost? So our offsprings can stay in beautiful green Earth enjoying sun super nova roasting Earth back to a rock?

AGW will cause the sun to go supernova? Is that what you are saying?

Let me explained it again.

Many years ago, Earth was a rock with nothing on the surface.
Many years later, life is/was on Earth and came compost.
Many years later life starts using recycle compost for life's advantage.
Many years later some life prefer not to use compost stay at their current state.(Environment protection to its fix and rigid state.)
Many years later some life prefer to use compost for their advantage and travel beyond stars.
Many years later Sun goes supernova by itself and life on Earth are enjoying their last moments on the coming roasted Earth.
...

So the only one left are the life choose to use compost and travel beyond stars and might travel beyond Universes.

Again, this is pure fantasy. It is a fact that the rapture will happen any time now. After that, there's no point in the earth or the universe existing.

google "sun supernova"

Will The Sun Explode?

...

Once our own Sun has consumed all the hydrogen fuel in its core, it too will reach the end of its life. Astronomers estimate this to be a short 7 billion years from now. For a few million years, it will expand into a red giant, puffing away its outer layers. Then it’ll collapse down into a white dwarf and slowly cool down to the background temperature of the Universe.

I’m sure you know that some other stars explode when they die. They also run out of fuel in their core, but instead of becoming a red giant, they detonate in a fraction of a second as a supernova.
So, what’s the big difference between stars like our Sun and the stars that can explode as supernovae?
Mass. That’s it.

...

Apparently our sun has little chance going supernova, mostly will collapse down into a white dwarf. So instead of a roasted Earth, we will have a DARK frozen earth.

The rapture does not exist in the Science Forum. It does in the Religion Forum, however.
