I read about a way to make a reasonable Smart Board knock-off with an LCD projector and an infrared signal, like the one found on the Wii remote. I'm planning on trying it, but I started thinking that for my purposes even something a little fancier, like maybe even a large flat screen TV hooked up to my computer would make a decent presentation device. (Those 45-50 inch screens are pretty easy to see from a distance.) I want to hear a few more ideas. Maybe I'm overlooking yet another extremely inexpensive alternative. So far, I've calculated that everything should cost me no less than $500, but I could even get a large flat screen monitor or TV for that price.
