HELL YES. Yes, it has the potential to and it WILL replace human relationships one day. I've always said if it were possible to create a partner out of a "male" programmed robot, I WOULD in a heartbeat. F earth men. Give me an A.I. Slave.

I think a lot of this talk about wanting a robot lover is just that, talk about fantasies that really won't come true because people can pretty much get what they want now (but they still don't do it or can't afford it). People who can't afford a maid to come in for $75 a week (that's what the lady who cleans my house charges) aren't going to be able to pay for and maintain a life-like robot either.
OMG!! that means there will be a market for used sexbots since joe average would not be able to afford one. but one up side, it would only be a matter of time before famous people start to license their likeness to robotics companies when there careers are in decline.

No, absolutely not. But that's not going to stop the "techies" from trying to make it appear to happen.

it will happen, there are enough people tired of getting their heat broken to be a market for it.

I'd rather just travel to a foreign country where they still have family values and pick one up over having some robot around.

I'd rather get one of those robotic, lifelike vaginas.
At least that won't wreck your financial life and cause you grief like a relationship would.

And, when you are done, a little soap and water, back in the closet, and no backtalk.

Just kidding, but this is one strangeeeeeeee thread.

We already in the process where artificial things is given more love and priorities(We love more playing football in PSP rather in playground) and those days are not far when artificial life form/Robotics will supersede the real life form and will be given more weightage.
