From the article:

The pair decided to try to clone Dylan and enlisted the services of the controversial Sooam Biotech Research Foundation, which offers a commercial dog-cloning service for $100,000 (£67,000) per procedure. It is the only laboratory of its kind in the world.

Bad journalism, Guardian. It is not the only laboratory of its kind in the world. We have one in the U.S. that I know of, maybe more.

Along these lines....... All the longevity research and research into reversing aging seems to be done on rats. Why not concentrate on dogs? I would love for my dog to have a healthy life of, say, 25 years and not the average 15 or less years expected.
