Somebody will have to do the laundry, make the coffee, squash the spiders, dig the ditches. Robot labor unions will be asking for too much pay. Anyway, that work would be beneath them.

So, we all better upgrade our housekeeping skills!

Funny. I read it as neargasm. Searched it. Found it on urban dictionary and it fits exactly to what we're talking about.

Call it 'artificial problem solving' and it's not so scary.

According to Wikipedia 7-Up has the licensing now.

Jolt Cola is still packaged in glass bottles under license by the 7 Up bottling company of California. These are sold on the West Coast, where laws are stricter to encourage use of refillable bottles.[citation needed]

I think the descriptor "artificial" is throwing you off the real meaning of artificial intelligence, eventually this intelligence will not think of itself as artificial it will be able to think just like we think if not better and its reason for its own existence may take a different path than humans intended and may come to view humans as an impediment to its goals in life..

No it won't. Self aware AI is something that'll always be 15 yrs away.

There's no real danger of it happening, but it's fun and scary to think about I suppose.

It takes natural intelligence to create artificial intelligence.

We're safe.
