Meh what do I care if they track me going to the store? Most of the time my phone is sleeping in the house, especially if we go to the movies. I'll bet they're totally confused at 3am when I spin around the hood on my bike, especially around the round about. That's enough to make anyone watching really dizzy.

In addition to what i previously said about having a metal phone case for shielding, I should mention that when I bought my phone, I paid cash and when I buy time-cards, I pay cash. When I take the phone out of the case to make a call, I try to do it at someplace other than my home. I never add any phone numbers to the memory and never receive incoming calls or texts. By taking these steps, I give the neither the phone co. or the government any way to identify or track me.

The arguments that there is too much collected data to ever use it against anyone, is not correct. They use robot scanners to go through everything and it can be keyed on your name or address or your neighborhood or anything else. If you are singled-out for scrutiny, they could pluck out everything that pertains to you in just seconds. Entering your name could almost instantly give them a map showing everywhere you've been with an unshielded phone for any time period. Woe unto you, if a crime was committed at a time and place your personal map shows you were present.

And here's a prediction: They will put pulse-rate sensors in the phones. If they track you and someone else to the exact same location and your pulse-rates go up high at the same time------------.

So what if the feds are capturing all my crap? It's just that. They can spend time, money, and effort on it and gain absolutely nothing for it.

Companies can cookie me all they want. Again, who cares? I buy what I need. They can barrage me with advertisement all they want. If I don't need or care to buy what they are advertising - I won't.

There are a lot of people freaking out over a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. Unless you are doing illegal activities the feds don't give a damn about you or your life. If you're a sucker for every idiot spam email and pop-up ad that's your fault.
This sort of thing also slows down your phone and PC

Not when you use ad blockers like I do. I also set mine to refuse cookies. I rarely see any of it. It's still being thrown at me, but it never gets there.

I am amazed at the level of paranoia evinced by some. I wonder what they are doing that they don't want the feds tracking them.
