My synopsis of article by Elizabeth Ingram, Managing Editor of Hydroworld.com (
Last week the Scottish government launched a project to generate hydrogen from tidal and wind power, a global first. This hydrogen will be used to produce both fuels for ferries and electricity. Both show real promise for an alternative to carbon-based fuels, and do so with a practically limitless energy source besides.
If the Scots can deliver even only half of what they claim, this is extremely good news.
