So I just got this Android phone (Galaxy Note 4) that has a "burned" image on it and I am wondering if this is a big deal or not?

I knowingly purchased it as "new" that was previously a "store model" and the burn in is just slightly at the top bar of the phone. It isn't terribly annoying, but I want to know if this is an indicator that it will have more/worse/progressive other issues down the road?

Any help would be welcomed! Happy Thanksgiving!

I wouldn't have bought it. My phone, some years years ago, got a burnt image and it got progressively worse. Verizon said it was due to use. OK!!!??? I was forced to get a new phone, finally.

I still have a window of which this seller will let me return it, that's why I'm asking.

So it got progressively worse? In what way?

Were there small areas, and then it spread to other, larger areas of the screen?

Why are you waiting to return a defective phone?

Well they might be willing to knock a bunch of money off of what I paid for it.

If I can get the phone for less than what I paid for it, knowing that this problem won't spread outside of the area I posted in the photo, I'd be willing to live with that, especially if I'm given a decent enough refund.

But if these "burned" images are known to spread, then I will definitely be returning it for a full refund.

I see that it's not that rare that burned images happen to these phones, so there is no telling if I bought another one second hand that it won't happen to that one as well.

So is this an indication that this will spread on my phone? Does anyone know?
