Google’s Selfish Ledger is an unsettling vision of Silicon Valley social engineering

What do you think?

I am kind of reminded of this: A letter from the future warns of the privacy dystopia

The main problem with the privacy issue is Far too many people allow themselves to be duped by the 'safety/ security' concerns, therefore leading them to believe that privacy may not be a good thing after all.

I see it all the time on Facebook, someone commits a crime and they are caught on camera, or social media, police monitor all this and when they are caught, everyone expresses how happy they are we have this great new technology so they were able to catch the dangerous criminal and get them off the streets, this do not stop to think about the other aspects of this invasion of privacy, and those controlling all this, know people are like this. they have learned to use peoples emotions and empathy against them.

Its really a very clever tactic and I give them credit actually (even though Im totally against it).

They are not able to recognize that, "hey maybe all this concern for safety/ security is a disguise for extreme level control".
