So how many of you have that box you go to for cables that you collected over the years? Think i have about 3 totes full of random cables from chargers, cat5, hard drives.. com cables.. ya name i migh thave it lol. then never go back to it. But soon as you get ready to trash it, you realized you need something out it.
Haha! 2 big, deep drawers. And only because I move every several years and most of those cables get thrown out when I move. I also give away my old computer when I'm getting a new one, there's always someone who really could use one, so at least I don't hoard those
Oh yeah. I have them too. Couple of banker boxes full. Some cables remember the times when every gadget maker supplied their unique charge cables. Every printer had different pin power cords too.
I have collection of many adapters, chargers, flip phones, and pagers. Don't ask me what for. Lol!
The odd thing is that I find uses for some of it. I still use RCA and component connectors, and "Ooooh! That Wall wart power supply is just the right voltage for this tiny fountain" and ... the satisfaction of using old phones for target practice is better than that from eating fresh cake.
I occasionally use some of it too, but I've got at least 15 duplicates of everything, and nobody wants any of it, so it all ends up in a landfill. We seriously need universal connectivity...our current situation is incredibly wasteful.

Not too old, but already retired smartphones with good camera can be reused as cheap home surveillance cameras. Situate on right place, plug in, download software to remote access on your phone. Works like a charm.

i have done that, till burn in screen or phone just has a crappy battery and dies quicker then it can charge.
