Just got a new smart phone for my birthday last week. Before that I had a simple no frills phone. Got my laptop and it is my first computer ever in 2011. One of the first things I did with the lap top was join City Data.

Landline telephone -- 40 years. It's a dial telephone and it's hilarious to watch my youngest son's friends try to use it.

Mobile phone -- 2.5 years. Unlike 90% of humanity, I've managed to not crack my screen by dropping the thing.

Computer -- MacBook Pro since December 2013.

I had to buy a new wireless landlines phone ($15) a couple years ago, when my old one wouldn't hold a charge.

I had to buy a new computer three months ago, my old supercheap E-machine crashed, after about five years of service. My new one is a cheap 1.5 Gig laptop, and I saved my screen and keyboard, just in case I buy a new desktop, but so far I'm happy just using a laptop for everyday application.
