Well, if you paid attention the past year or so, you will have noticed there is more and more being released in regards to 'UAPs/ UFOs. aliens', 'drip fed' to the public so to speak.
A couple weeks ago, the former DOD director was on Good morning America...talking about UFOs!! He stated the current thinking is they are either from some country that has managed to leap frog the US in technology in a very short amount of time or they are extraterrestrial.
Since he was the director of DOD, this was a huge statement to make, as they would have known if a country was in the process of leap frogging the US in aircraft technology.(also note that he did not mention that they may be experimental aircraft either)
Personally I dont believe they are referring to 'real' aliens though, this all seems very staged and planned, leading up to a fake alien invasion threat, just imagine how much new defense spending would be needed if we suddenly faced an extraterrestrial threat from off planet? They could easily justify Trillions in new spending to keep us safe and secure!

The so-called Navy videos definitely seem to show something beyond known aircraft technology, but update your info to the even newer leaks/reports about hypersonic missiles.
I don't in any way question that there are experimental craft that exceed current/known tech. There always have been. But any claim they are alien/extraterrestrial is nonsense, especially claims that some government "knows" they are ET. That is not information that could remain secret very long - certainly not for decades. Details, perhaps. Existence, no.
Its not just the US, we know that Russians kept this kind of information at the highest levels of secrecy in their govt as well, its also possible some countries do not have as easy reporting as the US does for things like this, or whether the people there even pay much attention to this in the first place.

Its not so much the mysterious objects, as its their technology and capabilities...if we had anti gravity craft operating during the cold war (even if it was in experimental or testing stages)...where is it now? Why isnt it being utilized for other aircraft?
Regarding the parts of the earth they may originate from, I do think the deep ocean trenches are a good possibility. The oceans are so vast and deep, there could be HUGE sprawling cities down there and no one on the surface would have the slightest clue.
This is a little hard to explain, but I also think they could originate from a 'place' on earth, that we are not aware of too, Im not talking about some remote land mass or island, Im referring to something that may not even be defined as a 'place/location', it may be something SIMILAR to another earthly dimension, but smaller in nature and size, (sort of like a 'hidden continent' or nation'), that may even exist right on top of our known cities and continents, or it may a different time/location too!
So maybe when we see these 'UFOs' vanish into thin air in the sky, maybe they are entering their 'home realm/dimension' and exiting ours.
Why do otherwise intelligent people get sucked into silly arguments that might (if dragged on long enough) get a thread closed?
A. They respond to anything to fill the loneliness.
B. They have the need to correct misinformation.
It would be 'B' for me, but Im starting to see that these kinds of threads are a big waste of time for the most part, its extremely rare that anyone has their minds changed over the course of a thread on this topic, you can look thru the 1000s of threads on CD on UFOs and you will never see.." Oh I see what you are saying now, looks like I was wrong", or "Wow, that last post changed my opinion, I now believe/dont believe".
According to the Scientific Community, there is a consensus that there is still no proof of extraterrestrial life. This is at least what has been said from SETI. Our culture and entertainment have been spreading the alien and UFO presence during the last decades. But the NASA website states: "But that extraterrestrial presence on regular display is, of course, a fiction. No life beyond Earth has ever been found; there is no evidence that alien life has ever visited our planet. It’s all a story."
Continuing with the Fermi Paradox, the question that should be answered but still we don't have an answer is: Where are they? There are some hypotheses giving possible solutions to this problem. The following one is not probably among the most plausible solutions but is the scariest one I have found about this topic:
The Dark Forest: A terrifying explanation of why we haven't heard from aliens yet.
While Fermi Paradox asks where are the aliens? the Dark Forest solution says we should pray we never find them. This solution is a bit darker than the others. The Dark Forest solution explains why we haven't heard from aliens by positing that they are purposefully keeping quiet. The reasoning is laid out best in the science fiction novel The Dark Forest, by Liu Cixin. In the novel is laid out the following principles:
1- All life desires to stay alive.
2- There is no way to know if other lifeforms can or will destroy you if given a chance.
3- Lacking assurances, the safest option for any species is to annihilate other life forms before they have a chance to do the same.
The reasoning behind this solution is explained in this paragraph from the novel: "The universe is a dark forest. Every civilization is an armed hunter stalking through the trees like a ghost, gently pushing aside branches that block the path and trying to tread without sound. Even breathing is done with care. The hunter has to be careful, because everywhere in the forest are stealthy hunters like him. If he finds another life—another hunter, angel, or a demon, a delicate infant to tottering old man, a fairy or demigod—there's only one thing he can do: open fire and eliminate them."
We've been screaming our existence to the cosmos for almost one hundred years now. Any aliens within a one hundred light year radius of us would be receiving a barrage of radio signals from our direction. Should we stop broadcasting our existence to the universe too then? Well, just to remember, we sent out to space the "Arecibo message" in 1974, an interstellar radio message carrying basic information about humanity and Earth:
This can be a fictional solution but... Stephen Hawking and a roster of dozens of other scientists have warned against searching so boldly for extraterrestrial life. A petition has been signed to prevent humans from actively sending signals into space, disclosing information about us and our location.
