A study shows that pipelines, because of fugitive emissions, are one of the worst emitters of greenhouse gases. Surprising to me, and concerning, I would hope, to all.

Maybe the oil companies should transfer fuel to homes, gas pumps, and so on, by hand in 5-gallon buckets? Keep in mid that the "fugitive" emissions we create when we fart are greenhouse gasses. Not only that, but if you "fugitive some emissions" in public, all those near you will be quite concerned about their health, specially now that we are scared of contracting COVID-19

I thought this thread was going to be about cow farts which ARE a significant source of greenhouse gasses.

Maybe the folks who wrote the article posted by the OP should produce special fart diapers and masks for us, as well as fart diapers for cows. But I have no idea what they are going to do for moose, deer, and bears roaming in the wilderness. Them critters may bite, scratch, and would have to be tranquilized several times a day to replace the diaper

Ah... I get it, you don't understand the issue with cattle.

It's not their farts, it's the belching that is the concern with methane. Try and study up before pronouncing a falsehood.

But the sounds "farts" make is funny, and flammable too

A fart can catch fire for the composition of various gas. Farts are composed of different components that are combustible. They contain mainly nitrogen, methane, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and the design of multiple bacteria. These things are proper combustion of fire that can catch on fire easily.
I am confused now! For the longest time I believe that burps often contain methane. Isn't methane flammable?
