Definitely not very appealing. The first thing that popped into my head when I read the title of the post was the Floppy Armed Muttonhead website. He is this really hairy tall guy with extremely long arms and he can only say unintelligent one liners...seems to share a lot of qualities with an ape! It is pretty funny though!
... but how difficult would it be to make a ape-human hybrid?
By why do it in the first place? What possible good could come of that? I'm reminded of Jeff Goldblum's line in Jurassic Park: "Your scientists were so busy figuring out if they could, they never stopped to figure out if they should."
If we really get to the point where we can start gene-splicing, then we really out to combine a ***, camel, and kangaroo, because I REALLY want a Tauntaun.
Oo! Or bettery yet: a bantha! Combine an oomingmak with a buffalo and an elephant, and you just might get something close to a bantha.
