I'm curious what if anything is everyone using.

I use several. AOL, Yahoo, Skype, MSN, Googletalk, and IBM Sametime.

Mostly AOL for personal, and Sametime for business.

How about you?

I have learned never to say never, but I don't IM. I figure that I have a cell phone and an extention my co-workers can use on my desk phone. When I am online I can be reached via e-mail. Makes some of my friends crazy, but I tried it and it made me crazy!

Of course I was one of the last ones to use an ATM card back in the stone age...so what do I know?!

What's Instant Messaging? j/k
I used to use AOL IM all the time when I was corresponding with my now husband but now that I can just walk downstairs to his office and talk to him using IM might be a bit weird. As for others, I prefer the old fashioned telephone. Right now I don't even have one on my computer. I don't own a cellphone either. Guess I'm not down with the times.

I don't use any "instant message" system. Does anyone REALLY spend THAT MUCH time in front of their computer??

I wish I had a choice

If I'm not signed on at work by a certain time my phone starts ringing and my inbox fills up. "Are you in the office today?"

My response is usually "No, but I'm in my cube, I don't have an office "

On the weekends though, I usually forget to turn it on. I just turned on my AIM a minute ago and right away "Bloobedybloop", lol. "Where ya been?"

Ditto! I used AOL when I had AOL years ago and it really aggravated me to be in the middle of something and get an IM -- of course demanding an INSTANT reply! I much prefer email.

I hate IM. Because I always forget I'm signed in and when I try to do something important i start typing look away then WHOOP! A window opens and I keep typing away typing away, then BAM! press enter and i'm like yes done with my homework! but NOOOO i just sent it to someone, then they are like wtf? Then i'm like NOOO! then I have to copy and paste. I hate IM. lol.

I prefer email, but not everyone is as into email as I am. I don't own a cellphone.

I use Googletalk to stay in touch with my older kid. It is a wonderful, *cheap* way to communicate in real time, especially when he is out of the country.

I used to be on Yahoo IM but have let it lapse, did not upgrade.
