crystalblue: That was one great universe. I'd love to be in that same universe:
Marilyn Monroe
Rita Hayworth
Sophia Loren
Lauren Bacall...
Oh yea, Charlize Theron
Kirsten Dunst
Nicole Kidman
Jacqueline Bisset
Angelina Jolie

There has been absolutely no reliable evidence confirming the existence of multiple universes, certainly not anything "to about 10 to 15 places". Perhaps you confusing this with quantum electrodynamics, which has agrees with some experiments beyond 15 places, but in no way confirms (or denies) the existence of multiple universes.
As for your formula--if it's well above your head how can you simplify it? Infinity to the power infinity times infinity? Countable or uncountable? Perhaps you could refer to the formula or theory you are trying to reference.
So for now I would say multiple universes are just an interesting possibility.

I think the multiverse is science fiction--fun to think about, but science fiction, nevertheless.

Are you kidding? That's where I heard the first theory of multiverses, scientists themselves, history, national geographic and discovery channels. I watch all I can catch on cable of it.

A cat is put inside a box where you can not see it. There are two bowls of food one with laced with poison one not. In due time at some point the cat is both alive and dead.
If for chance the cat picked the bowl without poison he would be alive if you opened the box up right after but if you wait long enough the cat will be dead. Maybe somewhere in between you find the cat sleeping.
Either way you can't control the cats outcome only it's electrochemical reactions can and time do. For the cat could choose to sleep right off the bat or eat the bowl with poison.
However the cats final outcome is foreordained. It always dies eventually. But who's to say he didn't live the "box" ordeal and eat a few mice which don't kill people from their diseases they carry.

what do you think of the multiverse theory?

I think this is where the phrase 'even a stopped clock is right twice a day' comes from.
The trick is to never let someone catch you in another universe. Could lead to messy divorce.

was watching a special on this stuff the other night, and one of the things they said, which i find hard to believe, is that the laws of physics might be different in other universes.
like to learn more about that!

I have believed in multi universes ever since I was young and read Madeline L'Engle's works.

I have to dig up my Scientific American articles before commenting or I'll probably make a fool of myself. That said I do remember kind leaning towards the new Theory of Branes in which there are multiple and probably infinite(number of) universes. It is somewhat visualized as two dimensional String Theory with the oscillations. The Branes are the structure our universe is imbedded into and there are infinite Branes. Whenever two Branes "touch" it causes another Big Bang.....creating a new universe with NEW Physical laws. I think I got that "mostly" correct.
