Big moon, tonight.
Map of the sky as seen from where I live. As I write this, the moon is just now coming up, but I can't see it because of clouds. It'll be the biggest in 15 years.

I saw it as it was HUGE !! Went from a normally looking softball to a large basketball.

I remember seeing a spectacular moon a few years ago. I think sometimes the atmosphere is such that it enhances the view of the moon. I remember getting online and telling everybody to go out and look at the moon -- they did, and they seemed to be as impressed as I was.

Interesting in that i saw it before i read your post so i had no clue about it and when i saw it i was like ''what the he..'' as i have never seen it that large in my life that i can recall.

they said on the news that it was 17,000 miles closer to earth. anyone else here that ?
