Interesting.....as i can see both points of view to the argument about people doing this type of research at home.

I actually got a few good ideas from there.... I'm not exactly an amateur, but I have been interested in using my education again. Why should the computer and software people get all the garage fun?

I really hope this is a wider implication of the flattening out of scientific advancement. We need more individuals like Edison instead of the behemoths like NASA of today.
