Looking for alternate energies of different varieties is great. But energy doesn't come from nowhere. It's like how everyone's getting all excited about hybrid and electric cars. Most people don't get that while they may be more efficient, just because they aren't belching out crap in front of you doesn't mean they are utterly destructive for the environment.

Conservation is the easiest and cheapest way to solve our issues. Anytime you say "free energy" I'm going to throw you into the "cold fusion" part of my brain and have strong skepticism until otherwise.
