I was just reading this article on Discover magazine about ''20 things we didn't know about hurricanes'' as it was an interesting article.
I definitely didn't know for example #8 due to the earths rotation that the hurricanes in the northern hemisphere spin counterclockwise and those south of the equator spin clockwise or #16 the largest known cyclone ever in physical size was in 1979 as Typhoon ''Tip'' stretched some 1400 miles wide as that's the width of Dallas to Washington D.C.
