Well i was reading how scientists are finally getting results of curing certain diseases with Gene Therapy as it's been down for the last decade with those early deaths as they tried to figure out which are the correct viruses (vector) to insert the new genes into the cells without causing massive inflammation and death by the immune system. They have reciently cured ...Bubble Boy disease (no immune system), Leber Congenital Amaurosis (rare blindness), EVB Lymphoma (blood cancer), and also showing early phase-I success in Cystic Fibrosis, Hemophilia and certain brain and spinal cord diseases with large clinical trials planned.
Nice to see science advance.
