I like this idea. Keeps it simple, yet effective. Two openings and all cabling is easily accessible.

Now you've got me thinking....

Edit: On second thought I like the video install better!!

Thanks for all of the input from everybody.

Ran all of the wiring over the weekend and sealed up the walls yesterday. I'll hope that Tek Freek is wrong and I won't be opening the wall up any time soon.

I installed a pair of junction boxes (one behind the TV and one directly below it where the console would block it from view). I did some tests and it looks like I could pull through new wiring if I wind up needing to add more video cables later.

So now I play the waiting game... have to paint still and wait for my homebuyer credit to come through so I can buy the TV and audio components!

I was going to say, putting a wire hook in there to thread another one in the future might be handy!
