We should use Planck units. All other unit systems are completely arbitrary!

I would be concerned about using a Planck Gravitational box end wrench on a stuck bolt. Would it have enough strength to loosen it?

The Planck unit of torque is over a billion foot pounds, so I would hope so!

That is incorrect. In the 1990's , I worked for a large American manufacturing company. Between 1994 and 1996 several large computer systems were upgraded and tested to make sure they would work correctly after the turn of the millennium.

It is far from simple to change everything to metric. One area that is often overlooked when these discussions take place is in piping systems. Can you imagine the billions in extra cost when refineries can't buy pipe fittings in standard "inch-based" sizes? Are you going to be OK when you find out replacing a faucet or a water heater requires getting special adapters because the old pipes won't match up any more?

But because we have this whole antiquated notion of "freedom" and stuff, people don't want to be forced to use it everywhere.
Even though I like the metric system and prefer it to the Imperial system, I will not sign your petition, because I don't like the idea of forcing people to do something, even if it is something I think is beneficial.

Good points.
I grew up to the age of 16 using the metric system, and if some of us think our system sucks, so does metric. I certainly don't want to deal with metric anymore.

Why don't we have a petition for the world to change to Imperial? That makes almost as much sense.
The reality is that many, if not most, industries having been metric based for decades. I worked in the glass container and plastic cap industries in the 70s and all the molds were metric.

The Imperial system is just silly. I mean all those divisions of an inch. 1/64th of an inch? really, that's just ridiculous. The metric system is so much easier to understand and learn (unless you're a dummy).
