Im from out of state. Should I transfer and take a few classes at a community college then transfer as a Seattle resident later ...or does being out of state work better in my favor?

I read it is really competitive, is that true? It is extremely expensive so you'd think that could serve as a filter but I guess not. Just how hard is it to get into the school? Is it worth it because I like what I see so far but you guys are the actual residents. Please give me some feedback, advice and tips!

I'm not sure where you hear that Seattle U is really competitive. It's not a school that the best students fight to get in to. Our town is ten minutes from Seattle, we had 12 National Merit Scholars in 2009 and not one went to Seattle University.

I've been reading on a few student review sites and I've seen them say this a few times.
