Well, it's true. Most black women don't know how to conduct themselves like "actual" females. Take it with a grain of salt, but it's true..

That statement is incredibly stereotypical. There are lots of females and males for that matter of other ethnicites that conduct themselves in uncivilized ways in public.

I was birthed and raised by a black woman...have dated black women...and am married to a beautiful, intelligent, educated black woman, who every single day, makes your silly, baseless statement look like the immature fat-mouthing that it is...that's why chat forums, in and of themselves, are such a wonderful vehicle---they give a bully pulpit to people who would otherwise lack the guts to (gasp!) say stuff like this in the face of the person or people for whom it was intended...

I would therefore strongly suggest that you take your supposed truth, and your grain of salt, and return them, along with your head, to the sand pit you removed it from long enough to make such an ill-informed, sweeping generalization...

On second thought, no...I'd love to see what would happen if you decided to grow a pair and actually say that in the presence of a black woman---the speed with which you would most likely be rendered A) horizontal and B) unconscious would in itself be both astonishing and cause for joyous celebration

This thread does not deserve to be hijacked by trolls.

Michele Obama, the many title holders of the Miss America pageant, black female news reporters, all the black female doctors, lawyers, judges, teachers, school principals, pastors' wives, etc. There are countless examples of black women who are ladies. Everybody knows that. It makes a few people angry to know that. They only want to promote stereotypes so they can feel powerful over others and cling to an unfounded sense of entitlement. But that sentiment lost during the civil rights struggle. Society has moved on. Catch the train or get off the track before the train runs over you.

I won't even take your comment with a "grain of salt" because it is baseless, silly and irrelevant.

I've been getting a lot of winks from guys of different races online in the Seattle area these days. It seems that race does not appear to be a major problem for a black woman in online dating.

I've worked with so many black women who are classier than their white counterparts that I can say with 100% confidence that you've got no clue what you're talking about.

So... here you are defending intelligent and educated black women as basically a class act and not a rarity, but you predict that their immediate reaction to someone saying to them that many of them behave like "hoodrats" would be for those same intelligent and educated black women to quickly resort to a physical response of knocking the offender out cold... so how is that sort of response not typical of a ghetto hoodrat's response?

But I do agree with you, it doesn't take much of a trigger to make most black women go into the red zone like a mad pitbull and resort to violence as a response to any perceived disrespect to them, real or imagined. And who wants that sort of woman for a girlfriend or wife?

^^^ My point is that truly intelligent and educated people fight ignorant statements with WORDS, not their fists.

Black men and women have become elitists among ourselves. If you want a professional man, that is o.k., but do not thing that only a professional can be a good husband and father. to quote a song " The strong survive and stay alive, they always do, but that they NEVER teach you in school. I work with my hands because I like it, And would rather not deal with the attitudes and egos of the "professional" environment. and I have a degree in Criminal Justice.

I just don't see why our community insists that black women do not deserve partners who share the same walk of life.
Vandygirl I thought it was worth pointing out that not all blue collar jobs not requiring a college degree are of the low skill low pay variety. There are many highly skilled occupations like airplane mechanics, tool die experts, accomplished welders, construction foremen, master electricians, etc. etc. just to name a few where it's typical to make more money than many teachers or even engineers make.

These are jobs that demand a high degree of professionalism and an extensive amount of ongoing training, knowledge and creativity. It would be unwise for us to look down upon these occupations also since good people in these fields are required in order for many of our industries to remain competitive on a global level.

Just thought you might want to know.
