Does anyone have a rough idea of the cost of having all my things shipped from houston, tx to seattle. I'd really rather not drag trailer that whole way up there.
Thank you

It depends on the mover and the total weight. They usually use weight and miles as money factors for long distance moves.

We moved from N. TX to Kirkland about 20 months ago and it was $3300. This was for a mover I never heard of. We were in a 2600 sqf house, but we did sell a lot of stuff and did not move any appliances or bedroom furniture. We also packed everything ourselves.

A few of our items didn't arive perfect, but nothing I could not fix. I assumed that a move that far, somethings will get a little messed up. We didn't buy the "extra" insurance...to expensive for us...but that is for each person to decide.
