I have been researching housing market on the east side for a while and came across this unbelievable list:

mod cut:

Is there a catch?? Can the price be really this low in Bellevue for a home of this size?m

The house looks odd, is that the front door up a couple flights of stairs?

156th is a major throughfare ... would be pretty noisy.

As an agent, I'm not supposed to comment on specific listings.
So I'll just say that basement space is permitted to be counted as square footage, whether or not it's finished or even usable.

$530k still seems expensive to me but considering the fact that my parents bought our house in Redmond for $17,000.....anything over $100k seems expensive to me. (Well ok, they bought it in 1964 )

Anyway, 156th is in the Crossroads area of Bellevue which, while not really "ghetto" is the part of Bellevue that is generally within the lower income range. If there is a "catch", that + the soft housing market would be it.

Umm, if you don't have an agent you might want to get one.
I did a google street view, and while it is a little out of date, it looks like they built three identical houses, about 20ft off 156th. I would not classify it as unbelievable.

That might be one of the ugliest houses I've ever seen. And I'm just a little skeptical of the 39,000 sf lot size the real estate listing shows.

The low price reminds me of having a homely girl's dad slip you some extra money when you pick her up for a date.

Oooh, I've passed by those homes many time.

In a way, it's nice because on the other side is the marshy nature field with many parks close by, but it sucks because it's on a really busy street. If you have guests, you wouldn't have much parking for them. I could've swore they were selling around 700K-750K at first.

I'd check the foundation. You don't know on what it's built on, and if it gives way you're screwed.

Hm, not necessarily the best looking place from the front there (doesn't look bad but it is dominated by those stairs and the garage), but it looks really nice inside, maybe go take a look at it.
