$530k still seems expensive to me but considering the fact that my parents bought our house in Redmond for $17,000.....
anything over $100k seems expensive to me.

Anyway, 156th is in the Crossroads area of Bellevue which, while not really "ghetto" is the part of Bellevue that is generally within the lower income range. If there is a "catch", that + the soft housing market would be it.

That might be one of the ugliest houses I've ever seen. And I'm just a little skeptical of the 39,000 sf lot size the real estate listing shows.

Hm, not necessarily the best looking place from the front there (doesn't look bad but it is dominated by those stairs and the garage), but it looks really nice inside, maybe go take a look at it.
