Seattle thinks of itself as attractive enough that people get here on their own. Getting moved by your employer is uncommon, as far as I know, unless you are a rare commodity in your field. There's no lack of techies here.

Appreciate the feedback. As for saving for the move, going to be years before I could afford the move and get out of my house, market is very slow out here and cost of move and two housing arrangements beyond current means. The other challenge is that I am in a strange point in my career where I need an exec recruiter to have any chance at a cross country offer. My immediate goal is to find a good exec recruiter to give it one more try before I give up for a few years
