$1500 a month? Excluding accomodation/utilities expenses. This for a single 24 yr old girl.

It's ok-ish.

You'll be living in a basement unit an eating ramen noodles on wages like that.

But you can survive.

1500 per month after rent and utilities are provided? Seems pretty good to me.

So with rent it's measly and without it's good.

I do not know what my situation will be yet, but I'm hoping to get my accommodation covered. What's the average for a studio in a more student oriented neighborhood?

I am living on that amount. Granted I will be a student so it isnt too bad as long as you dont have bills besides rent/phone.

If you can get roommates and keep your share down to $500, maybe $700 per month, you might be able to do it. But if you add cell phone, car insurance, food, etc., it will be tight. Typically you want to stay in the range of 1/3 of your income going to housing, 1/2 if you have to. But make sure you watch your budget!!

If you can survive off of $750 every two weeks, you can do it. As long as you don't plan on getting a new coat at Macy's every five days, you'll be absolutely fine and can even put some money away.
