Default Coming from Texas, Labor Day Weekend....

Can anyone tell me what exactly I should be wearing this weekend?? I see it is going to be a little chilly, do you all recommend sweaters? Just long sleeves? Short-sleeved tees with a sweater? And what about shoes.....tennies? boots? sandals? I am completely lost as here, we are 90+ and miserably hot.......thanks for any help, I really appreciate it!

It's supposed to be 77 tomorrow, then a few showers on Saturday, partly cloudy on Sunday and rainy on Monday. Temps over the weekend will be around 65.

It's going to feel cold to you since you're acclimatized to the heat, so dress warmly. I think mid-60s is perfect and would only wear a rain shell to stay dry, but then I live here year round.

At 65 degrees, jeans, t-shirt and tennis shoes for me. Granted I wear that if tempatures are 55-95. I am from TX too. If you are going to be in downtown Seattle by the water, the breeze can get chilly and strong, but a sweater would probably be a bit much. I am sure you will be doing quite a bit of walking. Best to bring more and leave it in the car or hotel if you don't need it.

I moved here from TX also and after feeling 95 degrees plus for months, I was freezing at 60 degrees and rain. It's a different kind of cold and it's hard to explain! The key to being comfortable here is layering and being prepared. I would recommend jeans, a short sleeve tee or the like, layered with a light sweater or hooded sweatshirt. Follow that up with a waterproof layer and tennis shoes or any good walking shoe with a rubber sole (better in the rain). I would love to say we do cute sandals here and when it's above 70 it's great, but I don't think the forecast is that great. When the sun comes out, it can warm up quickly but when we get cloud cover, it will feel like a late January day in Texas, even if it's 60. Hope you have a great visit!
