I'm looking for something like this but instead of zip codes I want it to highlight the cost of living for Seattle neighborhoods. Like rental. Is there any maps like that which can break down the towns in Seattle by cost of living and other expenses? I'm looking for a 1bedroom apartment $900 or less because i am in college and when I move I won't have a job lined up instantly. I don't have to live on Broadway or right next to the needle, but I don't want to be outside of the Seattle 'border' either really.

Which college are you going to? ( I don't know if you wanted Belltown, or it was just an example)

You'll be able to find something for $900 near the colleges, you can even get cheaper if you get a roommate. Try craigslist.

And what are do you WANT to be in? (Asking again, because Belltown is not really convenient to any of the colleges)

I will be going to Seattle Central CC, unless there is a better cc for physical sciences over there. Anyway I was just using Belltown as an example, I was hoping people zoomed out and saw the other areas as well.

There's a lot to slog through here, and the numbers are ten years old, but it lists neighborhoods and rents in those neighborhoods...I'd say that rents since 2000 probably are 50% higher now,and that some neighborhoods have changed a lot since then ( Hello, South Lake Union) so keep that in mind when looking:

Seattle Community College - look at Capital Hill or First Hill, Belltown, although okay-ish close - is kind of expensive and a full uphill climb!

PS - My hubby did his AA in Phy Science at North Seattle CC (and BA in Botany at UW) - plus the housing is WAY cheaper around that area. Just sayin'
